Shipping policy

Every order from Aussie Gem Hunter is sent fully insured and fully tracked, with signature required on delivery. We never ship a loose stone or a piece of jewellery uninsured.

How shipping is calculated

Because we insure each parcel for its full value, your shipping is worked out at checkout from two things: where it's going, and the value of your order. You'll see the exact amount before you pay — no hidden handling fees. Higher-value orders cost a little more to send, simply because they cost more to insure.

Where we ship

We ship Australia-wide and to most countries worldwide — including New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, and across the Asia-Pacific. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Delivery times

• Australia: dispatched within 1–2 business days, then sent Express with signature on delivery.
• International: sent by Australia Post International Express (tracked, signature on delivery). Typical transit — New Zealand 3–6 business days; Asia-Pacific & North America 5–10; UK & Europe 6–12.

High-value orders (over A$5,000)

Standard postal insurance is capped at A$5,000. For orders above this amount we ship by a fully-insured private courier. We'll confirm the courier cost with you before dispatch, and won't send anything until you're happy with the arrangement.

Prefer a courier?

On any order — even under A$5,000 — you're welcome to request premium courier delivery (faster, fully insured, door-to-door). Just contact us and we'll arrange it for an additional charge, agreed with you before we send.

GST & shipping

For orders delivered within Australia, shipping is quoted exclusive of GST and 10% GST is added at checkout (the GST-inclusive total is shown before you pay). International orders are sent GST-free. Full pricing and GST details are in our Terms of Service.

International orders — duties & import taxes

International orders are sent GST-free from Australia. Depending on your country, your local customs may charge import duty and/or import tax (VAT/GST) when your parcel arrives. These charges are set by your government and are payable by you on delivery — they are not included in our prices or shipping. If you'd like an estimate before ordering, just contact us.
